Forums can be beneficial for you to utilize. Some of the benefits are:
- Can "preview" programs that you are considering joining by monitoring threads to see how participants are doing with it.
- Gives you the opportunity to interact with other people that share a similar purpose as yours and network about opportunities.
- Can learn from others who are more experienced with different programs.
- Can acquire new referrals by placing a link in your forum signature which will show up every time you post. (In fact, if you start your own thread, you can acquire a sizeable amount of referrals and make even more money with your programs.
In fairness, there is also a downside to forums as well.
- Some Admins post programs that scam.
- "Paid" posters. Paid posters are just that. They get paid by a program to post fraudulent claims and payments in order to draw people in.
- Stringent forum rules. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the forum rules. Keep in mind that the rules vary from one forum to the other.
- "Cattiness" by disgruntled program participants who can turn a thread into a negative one. They can also create panic based on false claims which could lead to a program shutting down completely.
The following are banners to some of the forums that I would suggest that you become a member of in order to keep up with the progress of your programs.
